Location, location, location! Directly across from the Metro and train station, plus a free trolley that runs up and down King Street—couldn’t ask for better convenience. Great breakfast options and a fun evening happy hour. The front desk staff was welcoming from the start, and Justin at the daytime front desk went above and beyond with his customer service and attention to detail, especially with our family. Would definitely stay here again!

My family and I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 6 months. It is in an excellent location to access all forms of transportation. Also, walking down historic King Street to the waterfront is very doable. The many restaurant choices and access to all forms of art, entertainment, and services is endless. The staff at the Embassy Suites is exceptional. Alan is my absolute go to person for all our needs. He made every stay for all of my family members the best experience possible. Anthony, Romancia, Henry, Justin, and the manager, Steve were all extremely helpful and standout for their service. We will continue to stay at this property in the future. There is lovely breakfast buffet in the morning. An evening social time is an added enjoyable amenity. Every time we stay here is like coming home.

Stayed here for MAGfest and it made the sting of not getting a hotel near the convention center much gentler. The happy hour from 5:30-7 is wonderful, getting two free drinks was an amazing treat and made us feel very spoiled. The pool and hot tub are very nice, the rooms are very spacious even at the tiniest size, and the staff were all very attentive. The proximity to public transit was awesome. Odd positive but the elevators were incredible, always arriving fast and there was almost always one on the ground floor. The free breakfast is actually very good for a hotel breakfast. My only complaints are the beds, kind of small for a double and the mattresses were pretty hard. Not enough to bother me, but something to consider. Will stay in the Embassy Suites in the future for sure.

This is one of those hotels that's showing its age, but it's still a great option in Alexandria especially if you need the room to stretch and the perks of breakfast and evening drinks. We had views of the Masonic temple and it was a nice plus to take in the area. It's in the heart of Alexandria, but on the far end away from the waterfront. Metro across the street for easy access and parking was pretty painless. Pool was simple, but a nice perk as well. We would stay again.

My son is on the autism spectrum, and he absolutely loves staying at the Embassy Suites Old Town. I promised him we would come back, and bringing him and the rest of our family was truly special for us. Our stay was amazing. The staff were incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming, which meant more to us than words can express. They made our family feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for. This hotel holds a very special place in our hearts, and we are so grateful for the wonderful experience.i would also like to thank Steven FOM and Aiden the Bartender for their very professional postive impact during our stay. Thank you and keep on keeping

We were in town for a conference and had the best base by staying here. The staff were all terrific with a special shout out to Anthony Garcia Perez at the front desk. He very kindly went above and beyond the usual customer service level by sorting out a large reservation issue we had (at our own making). Maria was also very helpful in getting us into a different room so that we could settle in more quickly. While the breakfast was great, the room spotless and the location unbeatable, none of that matters as much as feeling heard and taken care of by a professional and caring staff.

I had a lovely stay here this month. Location is perfect when visiting DC, it's right across the metro (King st, blue & yellow lines), if you're visiting pentagon city mall (both blue/yellow) & national gallery (yellow) both accessed without having to change to another line. Amtrak station also across the st. Walking distance to all restaurants/cute shops on king st, if you don't want to walk, free king st trolley runs from 11-11 daily across from the hotel. Parking just like everyone said, it is VERY tight. $38/night, not cheap but lot better than other hotels that charges more & it's self parking! in & out all you want. I was worried about full lot but went on wkend & even though it was crowded it is multi level so you would still be able to find a spot. Reason it's so tight is, there is this weired metal column that is in seriously every other spot trying to squeez your car bet those columns can be tricky. Staff from front desk, housekeeping and waitstaff are all so friendly and efficient and that made my stay so pleasant. It's atrium style so noise does carry and when you're in living room area you can hear everything, people talking in hallway, kids running down the hallway but didn't bother me so much as bedroom area is in the back & lot quieter there. I had the room w/ memorial view which was so relaxing & overlooked metro station, hearing train whistle to look & see amtrak arriving was kind of fun & nice, something about that train whistle is just so relaxing. Free breakfast was wonderful, good variety & tasty. there is made to order omelette station, as well as 5:30-7;30pm 1 free drink/snacks. I highly recom and I would definitely come back to stay here.

Update: We returned for another two night stay over Valentine’s Day weekend. The rate for the room and parking was higher than our previous visit, and we were told it was due to the holiday weekend, which we understood. The young lady who checked us in (I believe her name was Maria) was very kind and graciously took care of the parking for us, which we truly appreciated. Unfortunately, the first room we were assigned had a very strong bleach smell that was overwhelming. It immediately caused my wife to start sneezing, and the irritation continued until we left the room. We brought it to management’s attention, and Henry promptly stepped in to resolve the issue. He moved us to another room and credited our account $50 to use at the on-site restaurant. Thank you, Henry, for making things right and for your professionalism. Overall, our stay was wonderful, and we do plan to return again soon. As a suggestion, we would love to see some updates and extra attention to detail, such as replacing damaged curtains, repairing scratches on the furniture, and ensuring thorough dusting by housekeeping. The rooms and security hold are on the pricier side, so maintaining the upkeep of the rooms and overall property would truly match the value guests are paying. We booked this hotel for a weekend getaway where we could truly relax, unwind, and enjoy some quality time together. We checked in later in the evening, and right away we were impressed by how large and beautiful the hotel was. We parked in front of the hotel to check in and unload our luggage. I was a bit surprised to learn there was a $400 incidental hold placed on my account, as I’m more accustomed to a $100 hold. However, since we’re not wild guests, I wasn’t too concerned. Parking was $36.92 per day, and while the garage was conveniently located directly under the hotel, I do feel that hotel guests shouldn’t be charged that much. If the parking belongs to the hotel, it should be complimentary, or at least offered at a discounted guest rate. We were given drink tickets upon check-in, but we didn’t get around to using them. Once we entered our room, I took photos and videos and was honestly shocked by the number of visible damages. I immediately called the front desk and was asked to come down and show them the photos. The staff seemed genuinely surprised and explained that housekeeping is supposed to report all damages to management. If these issues weren’t previously reported, I can’t fault management for that. Later that evening, management called our room to apologize and offered to move us to another room. We declined since we loved the corner room and had already settled in. They kindly offered a discount on our first night, which we appreciated. The hotel is in a great location, right across the street from the train station and about 2 miles from charming Old Town Alexandria. On warmer days, it would be an easy and enjoyable walk. Since it was very cold during our stay, the hotel guests took advantage of the free trolley service, which was a nice bonus. Breakfast was far from the typical hotel breakfast. There was something for everyone. We enjoyed freshly made omelets, toast, fresh fruit, orange juice, and coffee. The breakfast staff were very kind and friendly, and the hotel overall was very clean and well-maintained. I did deduct one star because, considering the nightly rate, parking should be free or no more than $15 per day. Overall, we had a great stay with comfortable night’s rest and delicious breakfast. We didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant this time, but we definitely will on our next visit. We plan on returning again soon. Ps. This is a pet friendly hotel which was another bonus.
